This Saturday School was fun!!  Most of the time when I find a tutorial, it only gets bookmarked if it’s some kind of sewing project that involves an accessory or clothing.  Lately, there’s been a lot of awesome decorating tutorials shared everywhere.  I’m kind of glad I forgot to get around to posting this last week because I’ve come across several more tutorials since then.

First up is something that I really love, a Faux Buck Wall Hanging.  I just spent a good half of my day at a Bass Pro Shop… to me, this is better than the alternative.  It’s cuter than a … dead one.  Jeff honey, don’t get me wrong, I still support your sport, I just… think this is cuter.

Ok, so this one is definitely much MUCH better than the real thing, but I don’t really want either one.  This Faux Wild Boar Rug would probably make a great rug for a Monster’s Inc. themed kids room or something.

(Oh geeze, Jeff’s watching YouTube videos on how to dress turkeys… and not in the clothing kind of way… He just said, “Apparently, gutting a turkey is really distgusting.”)

Now this is cute… a Gridded Button Portrait!!  I would totally make one of Megan the Dog if it didn’t take as much work.  This would be awesome in a vet’s office, maybe I *should* make one as a thank you…

Here’s a tutorial that’s definitely invaluable — Easy Envelop Pillow Covers.  Perfect for those of us who like to change things up every once in awhile.  Or for those who need to use up some fabric stash… or even for a fabric store to showcase some of their stock…

This tutorial is something I’m definitely going to make once Jeff and I tie the knot and get a place of our own, a Hanging Book Display.  I really need some way to store all of my current school books and personal reading… and I really don’t like book cases.  This doesn’t take up space like bookcases, and it’s cute and decorative!!

Lastly, this one isn’t a tutorial… but I’m including it just because.  My guess is that she ironed heat-n-bond onto the top fabric and traced the silhouettes onto the heat-n-bond, cut them out… and ironed them on!  Simple.

Next week’s theme will either be Kids, Spring… or who knows.  I need your submissions and ideas!  Click here for the how to submit things to be featured here.  I’m open to anything and I’d love it if you shared your finds with me!
